OSHAWA — Visitors to the Oshawa Centre this weekend can learn how to be environmentally friendly by checking out a number of displays.

To recognize Earth Day, the mall, UOIT and other “green” community groups expose their eco-friendly side in centre court until Sunday, April 25.

Students from UOIT will have their recent work and research on display and Foundations for Building Sustainable Communities organization has a display of repurposed items, including old window frames, lamp shades and wine bottles. Creative artwork will be on display around centre court by students of Woodcrest Public School. The event takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
